Updated Friday June 1, 2018 by Welland Minor Baseball.

In an amazing team effort the Ray's pulled off a 7-6 win over the Welland Expo's in baseball action Wednesday night. The offense came alive with every player reaching base at least once in the game. Jordan Groulx led the team with a single, double and 4 RBI's, while Kelsan Stayzer had an electric 2nd inning homerun! Tyler Lee added an RBI double, and Ryland Warren and Ben Hogue had singles for the rays. On the defensive side Ben Hogue and Brielle Seguin made their pitching debuts for the Rays - helped out by some solid defensive plays. The highlight of the game was a triple play started by Owen Ferland who made a great grab in right field and then started the 9-4-5 triple play to end the threat from the Expo's in the 2nd. Stayzer secured the win for the Ray's with a lockdown pitching performance in the 4th and 5th. Overall an amazing team effort! Next up the Ray's travel to Fonthill for their first away game of the season.
